On 7th December 2019, the opening night of the Opera season 2019/20 will be held at the Scala Theater in Milan. As every year the choice of the date is not accidental, in the city of Milan in fact it is celebrated Sant’Ambrogio, the Milanese Patron Saint par excellence. A unique and important event for all spectators and fans of theater world.
The theatre “alla Scala” of Milan
The “La Scala Theater” in Milan, recognized as one of the most renowned theaters in the world, hosts the most important operas since 1778. Since its opening the theater has become a symbol of Milan and, even after its partial destruction during the Second World War in 1943 followed by reconstruction, is the beating heart of operas and classical music in Italy.
The 2019/20 opera season will be opened on 7th December at 6:00pm by the opera “Tosca” of the composer Giacomo Puccini; the opera directed by Riccardo Chailly will continue to be showed from 10th December 2019 to 8th January 2020.
