The city of Cannes is undoubtedly the emblem of the renowned Film Festival but also of luxury and modernity. An unforgettable exclusive tour in one of the Provence most desirable destinations of the whole French Riviera.

The history of Cannes, from small fishing village to destination of international stars

Originally Cannes was a small village under the dominion of Lerin’s Monastery, whose main activities were fishing and agriculture. Starting from the XVIII Century the city saw its first demographic and urban development thanks to the French aristocracy which began building summer houses.

The increase of road and maritime transports in XIX Century and the birth of the International Film Festival in 1946 have led Cannes to become one of the most exclusive and glamour cities in Europe.
